Description

This is a 3 hr workshop where you will learn the basics of the fascinating medium of encaustic wax painting using a hot iron to paint with. You will learn what kind of patterns and shapes can be made with the iron, colour mixing and tissue techniques, as well as creating basic landscapes and some detail work at the end. There will be a short break for tea and biscuits midway and you will come away with several small painted cards at the end. All materials are provided and you will have the option to purchase starter kits if this is something you would like to continue with.
